Book Launch Volume II: Statehood

(Press release by Imre Kertész Kolleg)

We continue our online book launches with Volume II of "The Routledge History Handbook of Central and Eastern Europe in the Twentieth Century ".

21. September 2020 - 17:00
Venue: Zoom-Meeting
Organizer: Imre Kertész Kolleg

The Volume Statehood explores imperial, national, democratic and autocratic traditions in Central and Eastern Europe, during a century, where state institutions increasingly expanded into people’s everyday life.

The editors of this volume, Joachim von Puttkamer, Włodzimierz Borodziej and Sabina Ferhadbegović give a short introduction at the beginning of our book launch. We are delighted that Marie-Janine Calic (University of Munich) and John Connelly (University of Berkeley) agreed to comment on selected chapters of the volume, the comments are followed by an author's response. We close our book launch with a short Questions & Answers session.

The launch will be held as a web-based discussion via Zoom. Should you be interested in joining us, please send us a short message to Diana Joseph. We will send you the invitation link shortly before the meeting.
